So – following on from past posts on Tokyo like Tokyo Fashion Streetstyle (will be posting my very own snaps from Harajuku soon!) and Tokyo lights in pure neon (have some gorgeous neon + cherryblossom pics coming up soon!) – today I bring you a Sushi Special!
Obviously one of the first thing most people think of when they think Japan is “sushi”. You’d be surprised at how little sushi they actually eat. It’s kind of like coming to London and assuming all English people eat fish & chips every single day all day long.
Being in Tokyo we had to obviously sample some premium sushi given that we love it anyway and we were now in the home of sushi – surely we can find sushi here that puts any and all sushi in London to shame, Nobu, Roka and all?! And hell yeah, you bet there is!

Our lovely friend TY took us to the most amazing sushi restaurant in Tokyo. It’s called Nagomi and it’s on the outskirts of Tokyo – you’re definitely going to need a car to get there. But the trip is more than worth it – the sushi master is the loveliest man in the world and the sushi itself? It’s the best, freshest, most flavoursome, delicate, delicious and generally all-round most amazing sushi you will ever have in your life. That’s it really. Not much more to be said.

I’ve always liked tempura – but this tempura was the most amazing tempura I have ever had in my life. I didn’t even know tempura could be this delicious.

I decided I would try everything – so, yes even this starter of raw squid found it’s way to the bottom of my stomach – for which my vegetarian stomach was not very grateful, but it needed to be done.

Marie has this giant oyster – she says it was the best oyster she ever had, it most definitely was the biggest oyster we have ever seen, anywhere, ever.

And then we both had some more amazing sushi – with egg, fish eggs, sea weed, crab, salmon, tuna and some little kind-of-a-fish-I-think which had eyeballs…

This is the gorgeous entrance to this amazing little restaurant. Beautiful memories for life. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I’m totally running out of words to describe it, so I’m going to stop writing now. Arigato Gozaimas!
