So I might write my suggestions on what I personally consider “good” valentine’s day gifts – then there’s the league of the never-satisfied-ladies who need all out bling as proof of love on Valentine’s Day and there’s also glorious dating advice from the folks at Square Mile Magazine…but none of that actually tells us what the male species out there is actually purchasing, how much they’re spending and where it’s coming from, eh? Plaid shirts – my new love?

I used to always make fun of my boyfriend for always wearing checked shirts, it was like plaid lumberjack shirts were all he owned and nothing else – albeit in a huge range of colours, but still all of them plaid checked shirts. Every single one of them.

BUT – lately I’m kind of thinking I might be changing my mind on the whole plaid situation really – I’m even *shock horror* considering rocking the plaid look myself this summer perhaps? Thinking it might work quite well with leather leggings? Hotpants in the summertime? Plaid shirts with leather jackets? Combined with lots of arm bling?
