Since my recent trips to Burberry sample sales at the Burberry headquarters here in London (80 to 90% reduced all original stock) I have re-discovered them and my appreciated for Burberry classics has blossomed. Imagine the smile on my face when I just read the article saying that Burberry is opening a brand new flagship store in…BANGALORE CITY!
It’s Indian invasion time for Burberry! Following the launch of a flagship in Delhi, the British label is opening a 140 square metre flagship in Bangalore which will showcase its ready-to-wear for men and women from the Burberry London collection in addition to Burberry accessories including the Gardener bag, jewellery and shoes.
The flagship reflects the new distinctly British aesthetic developed by Creative Director Christopher Bailey – floor-to-ceiling black chrome, Burberry check dividing screens, Venetian plaster-finished walls, custom rugs and furniture. And, going by its UB City Mall location, this store should be packed with wealthy locals and even wealthier tourists.
