Soooo, I came to London on the 10th of April and haven’t been back. Let’s take a look at how its been so far and if I’m glad I came here…10 reasons why I might be liking it here…
1. The weather has held up pretty well and I’ve had lots of sun (like right now)
2. I survived training week at my new job completely fine despite being horribly nervous before
3. Survived new job in general so far without any major fuckups yet, also got my first payslip! *whoop whoop*
4. Apartment is great, lovely room, living room & bedroom with stunning 15th floor view over London with the view stretching upto the London Eye and St. Pauls and looking lovely when everything is lit up at night
5. Being near the BF is great, we spend a lot of time together and still get along great :)
6. All people at new job very lovely and no one at all I don’t like so far, so thats very very cool
7. London shopping is awesome – TOPSHOP and all the vintage stores rule bigtime with Blondie & the Laden Showroom being the best store in town :)
8. London parks are lovely for nice sunny weekend days – Hyde Park, Victoria Park, any and all of ‘em
9. I can get Indian spices, sauces and samosas in every corner shop and even in normal supermarkets! I can understand the cashiers at the supermarket making their jokes in Hindi and can bond with them over Bollywood stars…otherwise I do the 10 minute walk to Brick Lane and go the Taj International Supermarket where I’ll be able to get anything I might be looking for!
10. London gets the best DJ line-ups like at the Stag & Dagger or this bank holiday weekend as well, if not a special festival then one can always rely on the world famous Fabric to give one the best possible house & electro on the planet as well…
